AirTV Player HDMI CEC

AirTV Player uses a feature called HDMI CEC which can turn on compatible TVs and change inputs automatically. This may conflict with Harmony control, so we recommend it be disabled.

  1. From the home screen on your TV, navigate to Settings.
  2. Under the Devices category, select Display&Sound then Power control.
  3. Select HDMI‑CEC preferences and set them to:
    • CEC TV on = Off
    • CEC TV off = Off

Many newer TVs may also send “Sleep” commands to HDMI attached devices when powered down. This may conflict with Harmony control, so we recommend disabling this feature as well. Please consult your TV manufacturer's user guide for more information.

How Harmony integrates AirTV Player

All Harmony hub‑based remotes

Harmony Hub pairs and controls AirTV Player using Bluetooth. Your Harmony Hub and AirTV Player must be within 15 feet (5 meters) of each other; however, they do not require direct line of site.

You will be prompted to pair your Harmony hub and AirTV Player during setup using Harmony app, or on first time use for Harmony Ultimate or Ultimate Home remotes.

Harmony remotes without Harmony Hub

AirTV Player may be controlled using infrared (IR) signals that are sent directly from your Harmony remote.
