How to change your service provider

This article explains how to update your default channels, channel numbers, and service provider based on your zip code.

Updating service provider

You may want to change your set-top-box or TV at some point, and channels may be configured differently on your new device. Also, if you move you’ll need to update your zip code (if applicable), which may have different service providers and channel configuration. From the Harmony Express app:

  1. Tap Device Settings and select your set-top-box or TV.
  2. Tap Service Provider and verify your zip code.
  3. Select your service provider and tap Continue to save your settings.

Updating default channels

Some stations have more than one channel number for any given area. The steps below are helpful if the default channel Harmony Express has selected is incorrect. From the Harmony Express app:

  1. Tap Device Settings and select your set-top-box or TV.
  2. Tap Default Channel and select the channel you want to modify.
  3. Tap the correct channel from the drop-down, followed by Save.

Updating channel numbers

Use the steps below if you need to modify a channel number manually and override the default number Harmony Express has selected. From the Harmony Express app:

  1. Tap Device Settings and select your set-top-box or TV.
  2. Tap Modify Channel Numbers and search for your station.
  3. Update the channel number for your station and tap to save your changes.
