Adding Duration to Power command-If the device is not turning on/off via Harmony Activities (21-11-2019)

Below mentioned are the Real-time scenarios, in which you have to add duration to the power command of your devices.

  1. If a specific activity (ex. Watch TV activity) will not turn on/off a specific device (ex. TV) unless you use the help feature.
  2. If you can power on/ off the device through Device mode but when you start the Activity (ex. Watch TV activity), and the device does not turn on.
  3. If your device needs to power command to be pressed for about 1-2 second duration to power/turn it on.

Steps to add Duration to the power commands in MyHarmony

  1. Iogin to your account on MyHarmony Desktop Software
  2. Select the device to be modified.
  3. Click Change Device Settings
  4. Select Next until you see the Power on/off Commands page.
  5. In the power command tab, click the Pencil icon to edit and increase the duration to 1-2 seconds
  6. Click Finish

Steps to add Duration to the power commands in Harmony Mobile App:

  1. Click on Menu (≡)
  2. Click Harmony Setup
  3. Click Add/Edit Devices & Activities
  4. Click Devices
  5. Select the device to be modified
  6. Click Power settings
  7. Click '>' till you get the Power On/Off screen
  8. Select the Duration, Click '>'
